Jimmy wants to be a starter not sit on the bench his whole career… He has a great chance to do great things for a young SF rebuilding team. Nobody will be able to outbid SF in the market anyway!
The 49ers aren't going to use a 2nd round pick for a rental when we're already 0-8…He will be a starter and a leader for our young rookies… We only have three vets from the Harbaugh era…Lynch and Kyle already said they're looking to have him for the long term… BTW the 49ers have crazy capspace and can franchise him… They also have plenty of picks in the draft… Jimmy isn't going anywhere.
Dude . Niner s had hoyer . That's simple info . U lost all credibility
They didn't trade him because they wanted to resign him. They let him go now because they couldn't reach a deal.
No one is outbidding the Broncos for Jimmy G in the open market next year.
It will be very high 2. round draft pick so it is not price for him
I thought Matt Castle was the future
1) Pats didn’t want to shell out the dough next year.
2) So happy for Jim that he’ll finally get to be a starter, albeit on a God awful team. Godspeed Jimmy G!
I am flabbergasted
Why now? It had to have been to make sure they had a healthy Brady this year up until the last possible minute and get something for Jimmy before he leaves in the summer.
Take care Jimmy. Hope to see you in a Super Bowl in a few years.
in the summer time, they planned to resign/extend jimmy, clearly they have come to the conclusion that it would be too hard to resign him (if they dont let brady go) so they had to get something. it looks bad in hindsight with the 1st round trades on table over the summer, but they wanted to keep him
Sources tell me that Garoppolo will sign back with the Pats at end of year as unrestricted free agent
jeezus christ the niners had brian hoyer not the browns.
This is the worst trades in the history of trades.
right! the patriots are a frugal org garop cost too much riding wood when you luv shaping nobodies. plus g wants to play.
