Plot summary fro Netflix:
Among the eccentrics and cult personalities in the stranger-than-fiction world of big cat owners, few stand out more than Joe Exotic, a mulleted, gun-toting polygamist and country western singer who presides over an Oklahoma roadside zoo. Charismatic but misguided, Joe and an unbelievable cast of characters including drug kingpins, conmen, and cult leaders all share a passion for big cats and the status and attention their dangerous menageries garner. But things take a dark turn when Carole Baskin, an animal activist and owner of a big cat sanctuary, threatens to put them out of business, stoking a rivalry that eventually leads to Joe’s arrest for a murder-for-hire plot, and reveals a twisted tale where the only thing more dangerous than a big cat is its owner.

Real Law Review:
I get asked a lot about whether being a practicing attorney is like being a lawyer on TV. I love watching legal movies and courtroom dramas. It’s one of the reasons I decided to become a lawyer. But sometimes they make me want to pull my hair out because they are ridiculous. Today I’m taking a break from representing clients and teaching law students how to kick ass in law school to take on lawyers in the movies and on TV. While all legal movies and shows take dramatic license to make things more interesting (nobody wants to see hundreds of hours of brief writing), many of them have a grain of truth. This is part of a continuing series of “Lawyer Reaction” videos. Got a legal movie or TV show you’d like me to critique? Let me know in the comments!

Just wanted to add, Saff goes by He/him.
NGL, when you said 'even copyright law' my head swivelled looking for Leonard French (your Favourite Copyright Attorney)
Can you cover the Guy that asked to have his Divorce decided by trial by combat? or the guy in Tennessee that lit up a joint at his trial for weed possession?
Can we also mention how Joe's employees (namely the ones who were convicted felons) are carrying guns? This is definitely illegal, as convicted felons are not allowed to have access to guns.
Who the hell cares
Objection, the real tiger king is Saff, reasonable person. Joe Shreibvogel is just where he belongs
I would like to suggest you watch The Three Stooges Disorder in the Court to get your lawyer reaction to it. Also another one a bit of a challenge for you perhaps Australian Comedy The Castle. Let's see you get your head around 1: Our Aussie sense of humour and 2:Our Aussie legal system.
I think there has been many real lawyers reacting to and involved in this docuseries, but I could be out to lunch I don't know.
I'm glad you touched on entrapment, because that's something in the US law (I'm from EU) that I don't understand 😀
can you please do Knives out movie
That's a GREAT tie!
"Trump is considering a pardon." Is it possible that he was…joking?
Ummm, you kept referring to Saff by feminine pronouns (she/her). Saff is actually transgender man. Please be aware of that moving forward. Here's an article on this. This series tried to erase transgender people and bisexuality- https://www.pinknews.co.uk/2020/03/30/tiger-king-saff-trans-transgender-joe-exotic-netflix-robert-moor-misgendered/ & https://www.digitalspy.com/tv/ustv/a32017473/saff-tiger-king-trans/
OUR president: "I'll take a look" Legal Eagle: "Why?" 😂👏👏👏
Would you react to Netflix's how to fix a drug scandal? It is about Massachusetts drug lab technicians who inappropriately test drug samples resulting in thousands of convictions creating a mess in the courts. How the prosectors didn't give excupaltory evidence to the defense. A really good documentary.
I really despise the "judgement proof" clause. Even though the employee may have been negligent, the owner didn't have the right to employ ANYONE! Let alone people who aren't actually trained with exotic animals. I watched the whole series and I found myself exhausted.
A+
This show even made our favorite legal eagle grow grey hair in his beard.
Wew! finally a 4k Video from you! congrats on the new camera!
"Because we live in the dumbest timeline…" hits different in quarantine, lol.
We do indeed live in the stupidest timeline. However, you can still be the Batman of YouTube if you teach us all how to defeat – and preferably sue – all the copyright trolls!
7:25….or she was simply loyal to joe and wasnt interested in bringing any legal action. shes done a few interviews since recently and said so. but i get your covering the possible legal circumstance, but maybe this should have been mentioned.
and to be fair, if you watch the entirety of that trump interaction, it was a moronic reporter that brought it up, and trump didnt seem to even know who joe exotic even was, and seemingly said he would "take a look" to move things along, so probably wasnt even serious about it……im by no means a trump supporter, like at all, but lets not attempt to make things look worse than they are based on bias.
